News Dayang Announces Major Enhancements to D-Cube-News at NAB 2007 (30/3/2007) Dayang announces major enhancements to its D-Cube-News tapeless live news production system. Fully file-based, D-Cube-News integrates input, editing, approval, broadcasting and post-transmission archiving on a single platform. Scheduled for introduction at NAB2007 in April, D-Cube-News 3.0 integrates video browse and editing, script editing, rundown editing and auditing into a single software module. "D-Cube-News is proving a very successful system in many markets," comments Dayang International CEO Karlton Burn. "These latest refinements are in response to a careful study of our customers' needs and add greatly to the system's versatility and speed of operation. Browse and edit can now be performed in high or low resolution as the news script is being edited. Each news story can tagged to a related clip or a sequence. Script modifications can be colour-coded and a totally new module for news management is added. User-definable news classification allows stories and components to be traced quickly. A 'My Document' folder is also added, increasing flexibility and simplifying the organisation of each user's resources." D-Cube-News 3.0 incorporates a more intuitive user interface than its predecessors, making it very easy to learn and operate. The system is optimised for remote and offline news editing. It can be tightly integrated with Dayang's D-Cube-Ingest, D-Cube-Cut, D-Cube-Edit, D-Cube-CG, D-Cube-Dub and D-Cube-Newsplay, creating an end-to-end file-based newsroom solution. Native MOS support enables easy communication with other newsroom devices using MOS protocol.
