News I-Movix introduces the SprintCam extreme slow motion instant replay system for HD sports broadcasting (13/4/2007) I-Movix, a growing Belgium-based company with newly opened subsidiaries in San José, California and Tokyo, Japan, will unveil the never-before-seen SprintCam(r) at NAB 2007 in Las Vegas April 14-19. The slow-motion server and software equipment has the unsurpassed ability to capture, replay and store extreme slow-motion shots in real time, allowing you to replay 250 to 5000 images per second in high-definition quality. In addition to the I-Movix booth (C10141), they will be performing several SprintCam(r) demonstrations throughout the NAB convention, showcasing 1080i HD images from 1000 to 5000 FPS in a presentation of a live sports broadcast at the IBM booth (SU7820) and at the EVS(r) booth (C3607). The SprintCam(r) is a revolutionary system featuring technology's latest innovations to provide exceptional quality and convenience for the sports broadcasting industry. Key features include Photron APX RS color camera with built-in memory, Fujinon Digipower broadcast lenses, waterproof camera control-unit (CCU) interfaced with SMPTE fiber optics cables, and SprintCam(r) BC Server with 5000 FPS SprintCam(r) BC Linux 64 bits software (no time limitation). The system supports EVS(r) Advanced Video Server Protocol (AVSP) and is completely integrated into the broadcast network in stadiums and playgrounds. On April 13th, I-Movix will be shooting the Le Rve show at the Las Vegas Wynn Resort Hotel. The production features aerial acrobatics, live music and special effects that will be captured by the SprintCam(r) to be broadcast throughout the NAB convention.
