News Miranda highlights multiple new HD products (13/12/2007) Miranda Technologies will be showing multiple new HD products at the Broadcast Live/Video Forum show (stand E30), including equipment for automated promo playout, incoming line processing, and multi-image display monitoring. Miranda's highly automated, upcoming show episode promo creation and playout system is based on the Xmedia Suite graphics authoring and management software and the Vertigo XG advanced graphics processor. The system uses template-based graphics populated by traffic data and live clip playout. This offers faster promo preparation, and improved consistency, in comparison to traditional, manual rendering of individual promos. These improvements to efficiency are achieved without sacrificing creativity, or the ability to make late changes to the rundown. The Xmedia Suite system is fully scalable for multi-channel, HD/SD playout. New Densité Series HD/SD signal processing modules will also be shown, including the XVP-1801 high quality Up/Down/Cross converter with background keying and AFD. By adding the DAP-1781 audio co-processor, this two card combination also offers Upmixing using Linear Acoustic UpMAX technology, Dolby E/AC-3 encoding and decoding, and discrete AES processing; all with perfect video and audio synchronization. The Kaleido-X multi-room, multi-image display processor offers the highest image quality for the most critical monitoring applications, using patent pending scaling technology which allows the image quality to be maintained over the full range of image sizes. The processor also offers unrivalled signal flexibility, and each input can be displayed any number of times, in any size, across up to eight displays of any resolution and orientation, without blocking or grouping restrictions. Multiple Kaleido-X processors can be linked together to create systems which address large monitoring requirements.
