What to expect from Quantel at IBC2004 (10/8/2004)
At IBC this year, Quantel will be showing the very latest developments in its industry-leading generationQ range of products. Ergonomically designed for maximum throughput and featuring Quantel's unique Resolution Co-existence(tm) technology, Quantel kit lets its users do more and make more money - it's as simple as that.
Exactly what new products and technologies Quantel will be unveiling in Amsterdam, however, will remain a closely guarded secret until the show itself. But expect to hear some very significant announcements and to see exciting developments in all of Quantel's main business fields and across all areas of the product range. Which, as of today's date, consists of:
eQ: eQ is a multi-resolution editing, effects, grading and mastering system that gives facilities an unparalleled opportunity to access each of these individual revenue streams. This provides a robust business model that works equally well - as does the machine - in both HD and SD.
News & Sports: Working in SD or HD, Quantel's sQ servers and totally scalable editing solutions are the leading tapeless production system in the market today. Customers include ESPN, BBC, NRK, Seven Network, NBC, the EBU and a host more broadcasters both large and small.
Graphics: Quantel is synonymous with broadcast graphics and its Paintbox is the most famous name in the business. When it comes to marrying creativity with the power and reliability you need when working close-to-air, nothing else comes close.
iQ: DI is not just about grading. DI is about pre-vis, assembly, trailers and mastering as well. iQ enables facilities to do all these things and not only do them fast, but do them at 2k in realtime. The result is a DI business model that works and keeps on working.
More will be revealed on the Quantel stand 7-221.
