JVC Shows KY-F560E Sophisticated Studio Camera (17/9/2004)
Seen for the first time in its full studio rig at IBC is JVC's lightweight and compact multi-role camera, the KY-F560E. It comes with a comprehensive range of optional accessories that enables the 900 grams compact camera head to become an efficient and cost effective studio camera. It is ideal for those working in a space-restricted environment such as a small studio or OB van. At IBC, the KY-F560E will be on display alongside the STV Minsk OB van from Central TV, Belarus.
The compact camera head incorporates 3 x _" progressive scan CCD chips, each producing 850 lines of horizontal resolution with wide screen capability. The KY-F560E's high quality images are greatly enhanced by its 12-bit A/D and 24 bit DSP. High sensitivity of F13 at 2,000 lux provides 100 percent video at minimum illumination of F1.4, 0.5 lux. The camera is fully compatible with all the accessory options of its predecessor, the KY-F32.
Optional boards such as SDI output allow for expandability of the camera. It has composite output and Gen-lock in-put. Accessories include a cost effective studio adapter (Component / SDI) and a remote CCU system with optional PTZ kit. The KY-F560E has a signal to noise ratio of 62dB. Power requirements for the KY-F560E are 12V DC with the camera's consumption being only 0.7A.
Nick Fletcher product marketing manager, at JVC Professional Europe Ltd comments, "We are expecting the compact KY-F560E to be of particular interest to IBC visitors. Many production companies are moving away from the large bulky studio cameras of yesteryear, preferring to invest in smaller, more flexible camera heads with the sophisticated flexibility of SDI and component video outputs."
